Outside Report for Economics

·        The two most common types of projects I will have you do is Essay and Oral reports

·        Below is an explantation of what I expect.

·        When you conduct research, I heavily suggest you look at the “Study Guide for Economics” on my webpage.

THE ESSAY

·        Briefly, summarize the articles. (1 to 2 paragraphs)

·        Apply and analyze how it relates to the present or future of the country. If it does not apply to the present or future, then explain why. (Approx. 2 paragraphs)

·        Must be 2 to 4 FULL pages.

·        Must be either typed or nicely hand-written.

·        You can write about the same TOPIC twice, but no more than twice. The second time around, you should use different sources.

·        For more information, see the Essay Rubric.

THE ORAL REPORT

·        Create an outline of your speech.

·        You give me a copy of it right before you give your speech.

·        You have between 3 and 5 minutes.

·        Summarize the article and your analysis. You can use a note card to help you remember what you want to say.

·        Be semi-professional: No slang or curse words.

·        Visual aids are optional. (They will most likely help your grade)

·        Those in the audience are to write a paragraph about what they thought of the presentation.

·        See Rubric for more information.

·        You are to put your commentaries in the NOTES section of your notebook
